This painting has been selected to be shown at the upcoming 144th RUA Annual Exhibition. It is painting about my obsession with the beauty that is to be found in our natural world, on our doorstep if we just take the time to stop and look. It is a piece that evolved over a period of a year of me totally immersing myself into making work for a solo show. It’s not of any one place at one time, but instead is a memory piece, where texture and colour bring me right back, to my childhood? to a walk along the coast? to rock pooling? or maybe to all of the above.
